MxRoute Email Inbox

SPEAKER_00 (00:00 – 00:35): I want to introduce you to MXRoute as an alternative for using Microsoft 360 or Google Workspaces for your emails. The big benefit is that it only costs US$60 a year instead of paying, I think it’s $8 to $10 per user per month. So if you have users with Google you’d be paying in the order of 800.
SPEAKER_00 (00:37 – 01:13): I’m making that up probably. Alright, so to do that we’ve installed a… to have it integrated into CRB you can… you don’t have to do this but it makes it a lot easier to manage. You need to activate the MXRoute Manager plugin And then you will go into the MX route settings and fill in the details from… So once you’re logged in, you’ll go to the MX…
SPEAKER_00 (01:17 – 01:55): Let me guide you through it actually from the beginning. So you log in and then you will click on Login to Panel here, which will take you to this screen. Here, and you’ll click on API Keys, and you’ll copy that server into here. You can leave the API hostname, the username into here, and finally you create an API key and copy it into here. If you save it, it should tell you that it’s working.
SPEAKER_00 (01:57 – 02:08): Next step is you can go into the MX route and you can see all of the mailboxes that have been configured. You can create a new mailbox.
SPEAKER_00 (02:10 – 02:24): You can set up… You can see what DNS needs to be configured. You can configure forwarding, so that means forwarding from one address to another, like a group email.
SPEAKER_00 (02:29 – 02:41): The cool thing about this is you can assign a user to this mailbox.
SPEAKER_00 (02:44 – 03:17): If I were to refresh the screen, we would get a new… The people that have an assigned mailbox You can see here all of the mailboxes are assigned to them and when you click open you can tell it to remember your password. I’ll just go over here and copy my password and remember it.
SPEAKER_00 (03:20 – 03:38): Then, if all goes well, it should open the webmail from now on I shouldn’t need to type my password in. I hope that helps.
SPEAKER_00 (03:39 – 03:47): One, a few benefits is… I’ll leave it at that. Thanks.
